Position Summary

Under the direction of the Perinatal Coordinator, provides education and resources to pregnant women and their families in a classroom or tour group setting on a wide range of topics that assist the family unit through the childbirth process, baby care and development, sibling interactions, reproductive health, pregnancy, and breastfeeding.

• Discretion is required in handling confidential information.

• Must be able to teach or lead groups on a variety of days, evenings and weekends.

Education/Qualifications

• Current BCLS

• Previous prenatal education experience preferred. Required if not a certified instructor

• Certification as a childbirth instructor strongly preferred (ICEA, CBE, ACBE, or CCCE)
