Position Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas for the purpose of ensuring the competent delivery of quality patient care. He/she implements, educates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. The Assistant Nurse Manager�s primary role is to take charge of nursing personnel; however, they may take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.

American Heart Association BLS certification

Successful completion of CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification course within 90 days of hire and maintained annually

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
