Job Description
This full time, 40 hour per week, front desk, cus tomer service position plays an important role at the Duke Health & Fitness Center.  This individual greets members and guests as they enter the fast paced fitness center, provides locker keys, towel s, takes monetary transactions via POS for programs and services, and an swers membership questions.  This position requires computer data entry and retrieval. This position independently ans wer phones, handles customer inquiries/complaints, schedules appointment s and provides emergency services as necessary.  They are r esponsible for the processing of membership applications and membership agreements, guest waivers, and other administrative paperwork.  They do financial balances at the beginning and end of each shift.< span>  This position works approximately Monday through Friday from 11:30am-8:00pm, with some possible coverage during the weekend as nee ded.

Requirements:
Highschool diplom a, some college preferred
Two years customer service and cashier experience
Experience working wit h point of sale, monetary transactions including cash, check, credit.

Special knowledge, skills, abilities, and physicalrequirements:
Excellent customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Microsoft Offi ce computer skills, Club Management software, cash handling skills, abil ity to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time; able to lift 35 pound s; bending and twisting required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education

Experience

Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and activities. providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or
